DESCRIPTION:Il seminario sulla modellazione delle colate detritiche dal titolo “Modeling Disastrous Flows in Mountainous Regions: Two-Phase Approach with Erosion and Deposition in Terrain-Following Framework“, sarà tenuto dal prof. Y.-C. Tai (NCKU, Taiwan) giovedì 18 settembre (dalle ore 9:30 alle ore 12:30) presso l’aula E (Edificio E1).\n\nIl prof. Yih-Chin Tai è esperto di fama internazionale nel campo delle catastrofi naturali da fenomeni di trasporto solido e nella modellazione matematico-numerica delle colate detritiche e delle valanghe di materiale granulare. Dopo aver completato nel 2000 il dottorato presso la Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germania) sotto la supervisione del prof. Kolumban Hutter, ha lavorato presso la National Chi Nan University ed è professore ordinario presso il Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering della National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). È membro del comitato tecnico-scientifico della Taiwan Disaster Prevention Society e dell’Association of Computational Mechanics Taiwan (ACMT).
